These are some of the best Austin wedding venues that I’ve had the pleasure of working at. They vary from rustic chic and whimsical garden to Italian vibes and historical mansion. Each venue exudes its own charm. And depending on your wedding vision, one is bound to be the perfect fit to help create the most magical backdrop to celebrate your love.
So in no particular order, here’s my list of best Austin wedding venues:
Now let’s dig in to each one …
For all my couples who love that whole Tuscan vibe but don’t want to travel outside of Texas? Villa Antonia is right here in Austin! With its beautiful Italian-inspired architecture, stunning hill country views, and multiple spaces, it really has everything you need in one space. Its suites are spacious and naturally lit. They have a chapel, as well as a ceremony space that overlooks the rolling hills of Texas. Depending on the weather or your desires, dinner can be held inside or out. And everywhere you look there are photo opportunities!
It’s not difficult to see why Villa Antonia is considered on the of the best Austin wedding venues – it is absolutely charming and unlike any other venue you’ll find here in Texas.
Nature lovers, you may have found the venue for you! A California-inspired vineyard, the Vineyards at Chappel Lodge is a beautiful venue of fields of wildflowers and stunning Texas live oaks. Not to mention, they also have a couple of lodging spaces available onsite if you and your partner are looking for a place to stay, maybe with your wedding party or immediate family.
Say “I do” underneath these majestic trees with the wildflowers as your backdrop …
This venue also has the most beautiful architecture with its stone and wood work. As a photographer, I love using all of the Vineyards at Chappel Lodge‘s backdrops, like their fields of wildflowers, lake, lit-up trees, and that gorgeous wooden door. Sunshine, rain, or night … there’s never a wrong time to take pictures at this venue.
Looking for something a little more upscale, tranquil, modern, and romantic? The Preserve at Canyon Lake is just that. Located between Austin and San Antonio, this venue rests on a wildlife reserve that overlooks both hillside and waterfront views.
The owners really put a lot of thought when building their venue. Every room is spacious, clean, modern, and a blank canvas, with a lot of natural light. And let’s not forget that dramatic staircase!
In addition, the outdoors is just spectacular. Whether utilized for a ceremony space, cocktail hour, a private last dance, grand exit, or a getaway car, the possibilities are endless! You can see why it’s considered one of the best Austin wedding venues!
Rich with history and tradition, this historic landmark is a gorgeous venue located in North Austin. The mansion architecture itself, once inspired by the Victorian era, now reflects a Greek-revival style. Ornate mirrors, chandeliers, and furniture fill the interior.
Despite the fact that Woodbine mansion is located in downtown Round Rock, it is surrounded by lush greenery, Elm, Pecan, and Magnolia trees, and a pergola that during the spring is overrun with gorgeous wisteria.
Everyone who tours this beautiful wedding venue instantly falls in love with its history and charm. It oozes romance and, when you walk through its doors, you may even feel as if you are on the set of, “Bridgerton,” for all you dear readers out there.
Experience French charm in the heart of Texas by getting married at Ma Maison. European charm on 23 acres, this venue offers elegance and luxury. Whether you want to say “I do” outside on their lush lawn, out by their green cathedral, or inside, it’s all perfect!
From their caring onsite team, getting ready suites, to all of their spaces, it really is one of the best Austin wedding venues.
Springdale Station is an urban wedding venue in a building that was once a train station. A mix of traditional and contemporary, this venue has both indoor and outdoor spaces, its own parking lot, and is only a short eight minutes from Austin’s downtown district. In addition, you and your significant other can get dressed in two different rooms in opposite sides of the venue. Weddings here are just really cool and special!
Looking for a true Texas wedding but want it to have a more luxury feel? The Addison Grove offers an elegant barn setting for just that. Located just twenty minutes from downtown Austin, this venue overlooks Texas wildflowers and the cutest Longhorns!
The getting ready suites are fabulously spacious and private, and the team at this venue will make sure you’re well taken care of.
Say your vows under the huge oak trees in which the romantic light glows between the limbs of the trees. Or, you can have your ceremony with the pond as your backdrop. There are no wrong spots here at the Addison Grove.
And you and all of your guests can party all night long under the “rustic yet modern barn style venue displays grande chandeliers juxtaposed beautifully against large overhead beams.”
Talk about tranquil. Two Streams One Heart is a venue that will take you out of the hustle and bustle of the Austin city and into a serene country setting. With multiple spaces to be married, beautiful and roomy spaces for getting ready and staying, Two Streams One Heart is literally the most serene place to have your wedding, and you can see why it’s one of the best Austin wedding venues.
History meets modern meets whimsical garden. Say hello to the Grand Lady. Unlike any other venue in Austin, the Grand Lady is a historic mansion on twenty acres of beautiful Texan landscape. Next to the mansion lies a modern venue with high ceilings, floor-two-ceiling windows, and enough room to cater up to 250 guests. And tucked away behind that is its own sustainable secret garden. What more could you possibly need?
Another historic venue but with a totally different vibe is Gruene Estate. It’s a charming farm located in New Braunfels and consists of several structures. Some of which include the main house and a cottage, both of which you can stay the night and/or get ready at while on property. The Gruene Estate also includes an open-air historic chapel, modern farmhouse covered pavilion with chandeliers and string lighting, and a bar and cocktail area overlooking the fire pit and game yard.
If you’re lucky enough, you may even see some of their longhorns, horses, and some of their residential deer during your visit!
This luxury venue “blends modern flair with timeless charm.” It has an open floor plan overlooking a panoramic hill country setting. When a couple walks onto the Arlo for the first time, it’s no wonder their jaw drops. The sleekness of the building, the impressiveness of the large windows, and the beauty of the elegant interior and picturesque exterior is indescribable. All of their spaces are a blank canvas, just waiting to be transformed into something majestic and dreamy!
A little bit of botanical garden and a little bit of Texas ranch, Hudson Bend Ranch is a great place for those who love nature. Surrounded by wildflowers, cactus, giant trees, and a lot of wildlife, this venue is perfect for more intimate weddings. They have three different areas to celebrate in and five very different types of accommodations for staying on property … ideal for destination weddings!
Dreaming of a fairytale setting with French Romanesque arches, beautiful courtyard grounds, a spacious ballroom, ornate hand carved woodwork and stunning stained glass windows? Chateau Bellevue is the place for you! Rich with history, this venue is located in the heart of Austin but you’d never know! Perfectly tucked away and preserved, Chateau Bellevue is elegant, romantic, and the perfect setting for a couple looking for their fairytale wedding.
Camino Real is a minimalist and modern venue that can best be described as “desert meets Texas terrain.” Its desert landscape features mesquite groves, agave, and a pond of sparkling water. This venue has both an indoor and outdoor ceremony space, as well as the coolest greenhouse to party the night away in. You can also hang out in a unique Quonset hut. How many people can say that they had their wedding at one of these? Couples looking for a real Austin, Texas vibe … this is where it’s at!
Picture this: modern, timeless, picturesque, and luxurious with nature surrounding you. That’s what RoseBridge Estate provides you. Only a quick thirty minutes from the airport, its location is ideal for all of your out of town guests. Your mouths will drop by the gigantic home that you and your partner can get ready in (do your first looks, take photos, etc.). Not to mention all the beautiful spaces you can choose to have your ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. So picturesque and manicured, the grounds are the perfect place to walk around and take portraits all day and all night!
Located on huge rolling Texas fields, Allen Farmhaus is an idyllic setting for those rustic couples.
The original historic farmhaus, recently renovated, features twelve foot ceilings, multiple rooms, a restroom, and a kitchen area. But they didn’t forget about the groom! The Groom’s Suite includes a custom poker table, ping pong table, pool table, and a private outdoor space.
Their custom designed open-air, covered chapel has large 9 foot stained glass windows that shine romantically as you stand in front of all your family and friends. Located under four grand pecan trees, the outdoor reception area contains Edison style lights and a gorgeous Texas sky, often used for cocktail hour, or whatever your heart desires. Their 100 foot long barn has six mirrored sets of large sliding barn doors and “hanging cast iron baskets and wooden installations to display greenery, florals, pops of color, or additional soft lighting above the dance floor and reception area.”
Sitting “on a bluff with a panoramic skyline sunset view which looks down onto the Colorado River,” the Mansion at Colovista venue offers luxury and south charm. With beautiful views of the outside from every room, onsite lodging, this colonial-style mansion is only twenty-five minutes from the airport. They also have the most beautiful tree with Spanish moss hanging down, like you see in South Carolina, that when the sun sets, the light shines through beautifully. It’s one of my most favorite places to photograph!
The team at the venue will also take you out on their golf carts to the 18th hole where you can see and take pictures with the most perfect view at sunset.
Although Rambling Rose Ranch considers itself a ranch, I would call it more of an artistic garden venue. Not only do they offer an open-air dance floor and a roofless structure covered in stunning vines and flowers, but they also have a covered arena as a backup (in case of rain), as well as a fire pit and a ton of super friendly animals – all ranging from pigs and chickens to goats and horses!
Dance the night away under the night sky surrounded by natural beauty … not many venues offer such an opportunity!
