If you’ve been thinking about booking a boudoir photoshoot, chances are you’re feeling a mix of excitement and nerves. And let me just say — that is completely normal!
Almost every single woman I’ve done a boudoir session with tells me some version of, “I’m excited… but I’m also so nervous.” And by the end of their photoshoot? They’re glowing, confident, and had so much fun.
If you’re wondering what really happens at a boudoir photoshoot, I’ll walk you through exactly what to expect so you can feel confident, prepared, and genuinely excited. And if you’re in the Austin area and ready to get pampered and feel empowered with a boudoir session, I would love to photograph you!

You do not need modeling experience, you do not need to know how to pose, and you do not need to change anything about yourself before walking in.
My job is to guide you through everything.
If you don’t know what to expect at a boudoir photoshoot, I’ll guide you through the process, and from head to toe, I direct you into poses that feel natural, flattering, and authentic to you. I’ll coach you on where to place your hands, how to angle your body, even how to breathe. You are never left wondering what to do.
The goal isn’t to make you look like someone else — it’s to highlight the most confident, radiant version of you.
Boudoir is personal. It’s vulnerable. And that’s why creating a safe and empowering space is so important to me.
From the moment you arrive, the energy is relaxed and welcoming. We’ll chat, ease into the session, and go at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Nothing is rushed. Nothing is forced.
You are always in control.
Whether you’re doing this as a wedding gift, anniversary surprise, or simply for yourself (love this for you!), this experience is about celebrating you — exactly as you are in this season of life.

Before a boudoir photoshoot with me, I’ll guide you through outfit planning so you don’t feel overwhelmed. Many clients bring a mix of pieces — something classic and romantic, something bold, maybe even something cozy like an oversized sweater.
You don’t need a suitcase full of lingerie. A few intentional pieces that make you feel confident are more than enough.
Professional hair and makeup is recommended, if it’s something you would like. Not because you “need” it — but because it enhances the experience and helps you feel extra polished and camera-ready. And because you deserve some pampering!
A boudoir session typically lasts around 60 minutes, with the option of adding more time if you want or need. We ease in with simple poses and build from there as your confidence grows.
Music is usually playing. We laugh. We hype you up. And somewhere in the middle of it all, you’ll stop overthinking and just start feeling.
That’s when the magic happens.

Boudoir isn’t about being overly posed or stiff. It’s about subtle movement, natural expressions, and capturing moments that feel powerful, soft, romantic, or bold — depending on your vibe.
And no, you do not have to wear anything you’re uncomfortable in. Your session can be as modest or as daring as you’d like.
I hear this constantly. And I promise you that every woman who has ever said that has left feeling completely different.
Professional lighting, intentional posing, and gentle direction make a world of difference. Most of what people think is “not photogenic” simply comes down to not knowing how to pose — and that’s my expertise!

About 4-6 weeks after your boudoir shoot, you’ll receive a curated gallery of your images. Get ready to fall in love with yourself!
Seeing yourself through a new lens can be incredibly powerful. This is often the moment clients get emotional — in the best way.
From there, you’ll have the option to turn your images into heirloom-quality prints, keepsakes, or a custom designed velvet boudoir album. Many clients create the album as a gift — but just as many keep it for themselves as a reminder of their strength and beauty.
Here’s what most people don’t expect: the transformation isn’t just about the photos.
It’s about walking in nervous and walking out empowered.
It’s about proving to yourself that confidence isn’t reserved for a certain body type, age, or life stage.
Let’s celebrate who you are right now — not “five pounds from now,” not after some future milestone.
Right now.

If you’ve been considering a boudoir session but feeling unsure, I want you to know this: you are worthy of this experience.
You deserve to feel confident in your own skin.
You deserve to be celebrated.
And you deserve to see yourself in a new light.
I would love to help you experience that.
