If you’re dreaming of saying “I do” surrounded by golden Hill Country light, swaying oak trees, and that unmistakable Austin charm — you’re in the right place. Austin is home to some of the most beautiful outdoor wedding venues in Texas (and honestly, the world). Whether your vibe is romantic and European-inspired, modern and chic, or rustic with a laid-back Texas twist, there’s a venue here that’s just waiting for your love story.
As a wedding photographer, I’ve been lucky to capture so many “best days ever” at some truly breathtaking spots around Austin. These are the venues that make my photographer heart skip a beat — the ones with dreamy lighting, gorgeous views, and the kind of atmosphere that feels effortless yet unforgettable. So let’s explore some of my favorite outdoor wedding venues in and around the city.

If you’re after timeless romance and a touch of French-inspired luxury, Ma Maison (which means “my house” in French) is pure magic. Tucked away in Dripping Springs, it’s elegant, intimate, and every detail feels intentional. Between the stone courtyard, the romantic Great Hall, and the lakeside ceremony site, it’s both a couple’s and a photographer’s dream. I love how it manages to be grand yet cozy — it’s a place that feels special the moment you arrive.

Right in the middle of downtown, The Allan House is a little slice of historic magic. Think Victorian charm meets secret garden vibes. The oak-shaded courtyard glows under twinkle lights at night, and the whole space has this cozy, romantic energy that’s perfect for smaller celebrations. It’s ideal if you want something central but still intimate — a hidden oasis in the middle of the city.

Garey House is pure old-world elegance. Located up in Georgetown, it feels like an Italian villa overlooking the Hill Country. The courtyard, stone archways, and terrace views make it feel straight out of a European daydream. I love photographing here because every backdrop is stunning — from the manicured gardens to the light streaming through the arches. If you want your wedding to feel timeless and sophisticated but still warm and inviting, this is your spot.

Chapel Dulcinea has my heart. It’s perched high above the Hill Country with the kind of views that take your breath away every single time. It’s open-air, intimate, and completely free to use for daytime weddings Monday-Thursday (yes, really!). I’ve captured so many beautiful elopements and micro-weddings here, and it never loses its magic. When the sun sets behind the hills and the sky glows golden, it’s pure perfection.

If you’re picturing an outdoor wedding that’s full of Texas charm, wide-open skies, and a relaxed, joyful atmosphere, Hudson Bend Ranch might be your match. It’s surrounded by oak trees and open fields — the kind of place where everyone can truly unwind and celebrate. The best part? There’s on-site lodging, so you can turn your wedding day into a weekend getaway with your favorite people.

This outdoor wedding venue feels like a tropical paradise right outside of Austin. The Hummingbird House is lush, vibrant, and full of personality — a garden bursting with color and life. If you love florals, greenery, and a bright, joyful atmosphere, this venue will steal your heart. It’s perfect for couples who want their day to feel like a celebration from start to finish.

If you’ve ever dreamed of saying your vows on an Italian hillside but want to stay closer to home, Villa Antonia is your next best thing. This Mediterranean-inspired gem tucked into the Hill Country feels like stepping into Tuscany — right here in Texas. Between the sweeping stone archways, balconies overlooking the hills, and lush gardens, it’s impossible to take a bad photo here. It’s romantic, elegant, and just a little bit dramatic — in the best way.

This is where rustic meets refined. Just west of downtown Austin, Pecan Springs Ranch sits on over 17 acres filled with pecan trees, wildflowers, and wide-open skies. It’s the perfect mix of laid-back Texas charm and modern design, with plenty of space to dance under the stars. Whether your vibe is boho, classic, or totally your own, this place can flex with your vision. It’s one of my favorites because it just feels like Austin — a little wild, a lot beautiful, and full of heart.

The Vineyards at Chappel Lodge is basically where Austin meets Napa Valley. It’s set on over 50 acres, filled with oak trees, winding trails, and rows of grapevines. The ceremony site under the trees is one of my favorite places to photograph golden-hour vows — the light just dances through the branches. It’s the perfect blend of rustic and romantic, and it’s always a good time when the wine starts flowing.

This one’s for my modern romantics. The Addison Grove is just 20 minutes from downtown Austin but feels like a peaceful escape surrounded by oak trees and meadows. The outdoor ceremony site glows in the afternoon light, and the reception barn perfectly balances rustic and contemporary design. It’s elegant but not fussy — a perfect reflection of Austin’s laid-back yet stylish vibe.
Austin has no shortage of incredible outdoor wedding venues, but what makes them truly special is how they let you shine. Whether you’re drawn to the Tuscan romance of Villa Antonia, the city charm of The Allan House, or the boho magic of Pecan Springs Ranch, there’s a perfect spot for you!
As a wedding photographer, I’m constantly inspired by the beauty and variety of these spaces — and I can’t wait to capture your love story in one of them. Get in touch if you’re looking for an Austin wedding photographer for your big day!
