This baby bump session was absolutely adorable! I first met the Feng family in 2017 when we did their family session at Red Reef Park. Now, 2 years later, they’re expecting their second child and couldn’t be more thrilled! Despite the restless and often uncomfortable nights, and their firstborn’s current only-child status, they are blissfully happy and counting down the days until they get to meet her.
Being Chinese, the Feng family celebrate the Chinese New Year and follow the Chinese zodiac. This year is the Year of the Pig. Because the newest addition to their family is going to be born in this year, it seemed only appropriate to include a pig in some of the pictures. Hence the cute, pink, bean bag-filled pig you see in the photos below.
Having this prop worked out perfectly, especially since big sister, Abby, is shy in front of the camera. Having the stuffed animal really opened her up, allowed her to have a bit of fun, and she loved showing the pig off to the camera!
Big sister is already giving her baby sister love and kisses!!
I love it when my families’ bring significant props, like a sonogram. Other great ideas to bring to your baby bump session aside from stuffed animals and sonograms: baby blocks that spell out your baby’s name, any toy or blanket that has been given as a gift and/or passed down from another family member, a cute pair of baby sneakers, and/or the cute onesie.
Abby is so excited to meet her little sister. She even plays doctor to see if she can hear her heart beat. I think this was my favorite part of the session … can this family BE any cuter (channeling in my inner Chandler from “Friends”)??
Congratulations to the newest addition to your family! I cannot wait to meet her!!
