A Fort Lauderdale Beauty and the Beast Wedding
Happy one week since the premier of the live version of the classic “Beauty and the Beast!” It has also been one week since our Fort Lauderdale Beauty and the Beast wedding styled shoot was featured on The Perfect Palette! Who else is still dreaming of roses, castles, and romance … not to mention still singing those classic songs?!
When Amber, owner and planner at Oh My! Occasions, and I first met last year, we bonded over our love of Disney. We mentioned possibly doing a ‘Beauty and the Beast’ styled shoot, knowing the movie was to come out soon. Six months later, we finally got to work on our dream project.
Our goal was to bring this classic to life without going too literal or too theme-partyish. We wanted to create a classy, yet romantic and vibrant wedding, while still using the famous symbols from the movie. I mean, how can a bride have a Beauty and the Beast Wedding without including the famous enchanted rose, the antique mirror, Cogsworth, Lumiere, Chip, and the stained glass!
All throughout our design, we placed subtle hints, such as little corks and screws in the bride’s bouquet to pay homage to Belle’s father, an inventor. Our team wanted a unique look. Instead of using just the red rose as the dominant flower, our talented florist designed the centerpieces and bouquet based on his own interpretation of the film, which was inspired by the ‘Beauty and the Beast’ stained glass.
This style wedding shoot was a dream come true for Amber and I. We knew this was going to be a beautiful styled wedding … but what transpired was beyond what we could have imagined. It was pure magic! Thank you to our extraordinary team for helping us bring our dreams to reality!

We just love the little details that Simply Sianne included in her design: the wax stamp on the envelope, the delicate lace, the cute teacup charm, the splash of gold, and that elegant font! So in love!!!!
“You would never know that this “castle courtyard” exists right in the heart of Downtown Fort Lauderdale!”
Once upon a time …
Loving the groom’s “tale as old as time’ tie clip (found on Etsy).
How amazing are these gold macarons by Sucrette?! One of my favorite desserts and they’re a French dessert – can’t get more appropriate for a ‘Beauty and the Beast’ inspired wedding, since the movie takes place in France!
We wanted the bride and groom’s cake to mimic the iconic stained glass found in the movie! Thank you, Sucrette – this is amazing!
So obsessed with this place setting by Events on the Loose … the gold! The patterns! The glassware! <3
Not to mention Simply Sianne’s delicate handwritten escort “cards” (yes, those are real rose petals)!
Belle is a natural beauty, so we only wanted to use a touch of makeup to accentuate her natural beauty. Our makeup artist, also our model, used hints of gold for the eyes and a beautiful shade of rose for the lips. Kate Blake is not only an extraordinary makeup artist but she’s the perfect Belle.
It’s all in details and how could we have a ‘Beauty and the Beast’ inspired shoot and not include a hand held mirror, like the one in the movie?
“The bride’s delicate off-the-shoulder Maggie Sottero gown exudes effortless romance, to match Belle’s simplistic style” but in a real-life, modern day way. It is so “perfectly Belle-inspired with its layered pick-up skirt.”
Hey there, handsome! Our model, Scott, was the perfect Beast/prince!
This textured navy suit was a way to give the Beast a different and more modern look. We loved its subtle details that could only be admired from close up. Also, “The groom’s textured navy suit and gold vine cuff links mimic the patterned dinner plates and chargers.”
We love details! And these Lenox flutes with the vine etching helped accentuate the garden feel we were going for!
Just take in all those details and colors!! “The vivid, vibrant floral arrangements by Rodri Studio, accentuate the prince’s castle stained glass palette.”
That enchanted rose though …. <3 Say ‘hello’ to Cogsworth and Lumier!
Isn’t she a beauty?! Her makeup and hair is on point!
A ‘Beauty and the Beast’ wedding is incomplete without a dancing scene!
A simple bracelet and elegant bracelet like this one makes Belle’s attire complete!
