A Meadowlark Gardens Engagement Session: Alex + Aleks

One of the greatest perks of my job is getting to know a couple and hearing their love story … and this is one of my favorite stories to date: Aleks proposed to his college sweetheart (who also happens to be named Alex) along the canals of Japan, which was then followed by a delicious meal kawayuka-dining-style (dining literally above the water). A romantic and special moment between two world travelers who have been together for ten years and will be married in a castle in France later this year.
By the way, did you happen to notice the “ten years?!” When they told me they had been together for ten years, it was near the end of our session and I couldn’t believe it! This couple has so much chemistry and fun together, you’d think they were still in the honeymoon stage of a new relationship! I love how relaxed and goofy they were with each other and in front of the camera, despite them warning me that they both hate having their pictures taken. Well, I personally believe that the two of them should have their pictures taken more often! They were a blast to work with and I had such a hard time just picking out a few of my favorites 😉
