As a boudoir photographer in Austin, Texas, I offer three different Austin boudoir photography collections so you can choose the option that best fits what you’re looking for, how much planning you want to do, and how pampered you want to be!
This package is for those who are planners at heart. Those who have a vision, and love making it come to life! You have someone you already trust to do your hair and makeup, and have fallen in love with a location. Now, you’re looking for the perfect photographer to bring it all to life, to assist with posing, direction, and making you look your best.
If you have a specific space in mind, like your home or a hotel/airbnb, we’ll coordinate ahead of time. We’ll often need to do some prep work prior to your shoot to ensure it’s ready for your session! The best locations have natural light, at least two different spots to work with, and props, like a bed and chair. The best locations also have minimal decorations in the background and on the walls.
You can share all of your ideas with me during our initial call and I’m here to offer advice to set you up for success!
If you’d rather have all of the makeup, hair, and location planning done for you, you’ll love…
My most popular Austin boudoir photography collection includes your photos, hair, makeup, and an indoor studio rental. All you have to focus on is finding outfits that you love!
I will schedule an appointment for you with my preferred makeup artist and hair stylist at the studio. You will arrive early, get glammed up, and start your shoot all in one place.
The studio is perfect for privacy, flattering lighting, and plenty of posing options with couches, mirrors, and backdrops.
Looking for an even more elevated experience and the option to use your shoot as a gift?
Along with everything included in Collection III, this package takes things to the next level. There are additional props, a bottle of wine to enjoy, and a custom designed 8×8 velvet album with twenty images. This album is a perfect wedding or anniversary gift!
Just like a glass of wine, a few props can help you feel more fun and playful, so before your shoot we’ll decide what props best fit your vision.
In the past we’ve used everything from robes, pearls, rugs, and more! I love helping you get creative, so all you have to do is bring your ideas, and I’ll help source the props to make them come to life.
Many of my brides use their boudoir photos as a fun surprise for their partner, so my favorite part of this collection is the album. This is the best way to securely print and admire your photos for years to come!
While boudoir photos are a great opportunity to celebrate yourself and feel confident, they can also be a little nerve-racking. I am here to answer all of your questions and make sure you feel totally prepared for your shoot!
You can reach out to me here and we will have a quick consultation. We can discuss what you’re hoping to get out of your session and find the right collection for you.
Once you’re booked, we’ll choose your shoot date and location, book your hair and makeup (if you go with Collection II or III), and start planning!
Of course I can help with choosing a location for your boudoir photos! I do prefer a studio rental (included in Collection II and Collection III) because it offers privacy with a lot of light and different rooms with different looks to choose from.
If you prefer a hotel or airbnb, I have a few options I can recommend based on the vibe of what you’re looking for. I like to hear a little more about your vision and then choose a location based on that style.
(I love The Grand Lady in Austin, TX and the Sekrit Theater for a ton of privacy and variety!)
If you like the idea of using your own home, we can always do a video call to determine if your own space would be a good location for photos!
I have a hair and makeup team that I love working with. On the day of your shoot, they will arrive around 1.5-2 hours beforehand to start your glam at the studio. You can bring your own inspiration for makeup and hair, or we can help with this!
We can have a phone or zoom call, or even meet for coffee/tea or a margarita if you’re local! Our first call lasts around forty-five minutes to an hour.
All I’ll need from you is a vision for the shoot, questions or concerns, and details about any specific needs for shoot dates and if there is a hard deadline for when you need the photos. Sometimes, we’ll even create a mood board to ensure we’re on the same page on everything!
Before your shoot, I will send over a questionnaire that asks about your personality, what makes you feel comfortable and confident, music preferences for a playlist, your favorite features so we can highlight them with your posing, and more.
Here’s a list of all of my advice for prepping for your boudoir shoot day!
I deliver all of your edited images in a private, password-protected online gallery. From there, you can add your favorites to a folder if you want additional retouching.
You are welcome to order prints through me as a secure way to print your images without having to order through a public print service. Custom designed albums are also a beautiful way to display and keep your images and they make a thoughtful gift!!
While I edit all of the images before I deliver the gallery, I don’t retouch anything until you see the gallery. You can then pick from edited images of what you want retouched, if you even want them retouched at all! Examples of retouching are skin smoothing, taming frizzy hair, removing blemishes, etc.
This allows you control of what you want retouched (leaving birthmarks and parts of you that make you “you”).
Absolutely! My job as a photographer is to direct and help you create beautiful images that show off your most confident self!
My biggest advice is to practice posing in the mirror before your shoot and take some selfies! This is a great warm-up, It helps you see how you look with an elongated neck, arched back, and pointed toes.
You can also look up some inspiration on Pinterest. Here are some posing ideas from a few of my past boudoir shoots at The Grand Lady.
It’s important to me as your photographer that you feel comfortable. I provide a contract that gives you a choice of different model releases. You have the option of keeping your photos completely private or allowing me to share so future clients can see how much fun we have!
You deserve to feel strong and gorgeous. Boudoir photos are a fun way to feel pampered while wearing something that makes you feel empowered!
If you have any additional questions to feel confident and prepared for your boudoir photoshoot, feel free to bring them to me during our first consultation meeting!
