Raquel and Nick’s Texas Oasis Brewing Company wedding was a special one for me. Back in 2022, I celebrated and photographed Kyra and Vincent‘s wedding. That was when I met Raquel for the first time. Now it’s her time to tie the knot and I am beyond honored that she chose me to be a part of her love story!
This adorable couple describes their relationship as being “funny, loving, understanding, supportive, and resilient.” Together, they love to hang out, watch a ton of shows, watch the Astros play, walk their husky … basically anything and everything because they love “making light out of everything we do! Life is mundane enough, why not celebrate while we can!”
Originally, these two met on Bumble. Eight years of dating, Raquel and Nick decided it was the right time to get married. They took Raquel’s grandmother’s ring and designed the engagement ring together, incorporating her grandmother’s diamonds. It was such a meaningful and special process they got to do together.
Raquel and Nick have gone through the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. They took their “vows in sickness and in health years before actually exchanging official vows.” But now their time to say their vows in front of their family and friends has come.
On a beautiful day in November, the two got ready at a local hotel. Raquel wanted everything to be personal special: she wore Kyra’s wedding gown, got a locket personalized for the lock-and-key they added to the Lover’s Locks at the Oasis, and had a very special portrait printed and framed of Nick’s mother, who had recently passed away. All of the little details she included were so sweet and sentimental, making the day even more special.
When they were ready, they separately headed over to the Texas Oasis Brewing Company. **If you haven’t been, this venue has the most impressive views of Lake Travis, with an amazing staff, and yummy food!**
A peach rose in hand, Nick walked down the aisle and placed the rose in a chair for his mother. Then, he got to see his bride for the first time as she walked down the aisle. Talk about a mix of emotions. You could see the adoration, love, and respect in his eyes as he saw Raquel. And the feelings were obviously mutual. After the sweetest vows, their first kiss as husband and wife, Raquel and Nick were OFFICIALLY MARRIED!!!
The rest of the night was spent eating delicious food and dancing the night away! This was followed by a sparkler exit and a lifetime of love and adventures together (starting with a new home)!
Congratulations, Raquel and Nick!!! Wishing you both the most amazing life together!
