South Congress Hotel Wedding: Sara and Ryan

Located in the center of Austin, Texas, this South Congress Hotel wedding was anything but traditional … it was perfect! The couple was super laid back and the whole day went so smoothly. We couldn’t have asked for better weather, a more perfect venue, or more fun guests!

The Lovely Couple

Sara and Ryan originally met while in college. While their lives caused them to have a long-distance relationship for a while, they made it back to each other. They have been inseparable ever since, moving from state-to-state before settling down in Austin.

When planning their wedding, they knew Austin was it for them! Austin is near and dear to their hearts. Because of this, the couple chose to have a downtown wedding, being a venue directly in the center of Austin, and a place where their guests can stay.

First looks always touch my heart. As a photographer and being a part of such an intimate moment, it really is so special. We can never anticipate how the couple is going to react. Sometimes it’s pure excitement, and others it’s filled with so much emotion. For this couple, it was a little bit of both. They were so excited to see one another but also filled with so much emotion that the day was finally here!

What I love most about Austin is just how photogenic it is! From the streets of downtown Austin to all of its hidden murals, it really is one of the most beautiful cities I’ve ever lived.
