If you’ve ever visited this venue, you can see why any couple would be thrilled to have a Living Sculpture Sanctuary wedding. From the moment they stepped onto the property, Janice and Michael were in love. They loved the “whimsical and organic feel of the venue.”
Not to mention, orchids are Janice’s favorite flowers, and this venue is saturated with them! The Living Sculpture Sanctuary has elaborate floral walkways, a rock zen garden, bonsai display wall, tropical vegetation, and zen moon gates. It’s a tropical wedding dream come true! And have you seen the beautiful (what I like to call) “treehouse?” A perfect covered spot to get married!
While working at a local restaurant, Janice was serving a table of rowdy boys. When Michael, one of the rowdy boys, asked for her number, she laughed it off. He somehow managed to get it but there was no doubt in Janice’s mind that she’d never hear from him. Little did she know!
Michael was quite persistent and managed to persuade her to go on a date. And that was it! He was charming, handsome, with a sense of humor. Most importantly, he treated her like a queen!
In 2018, he popped the question at the Flamingo Gardens (I see a tropical theme here) and she said, “yes!”
According to the happy couple, “the most memorable moment for us would definitely have to be first look. It was like time stood still for a few minutes.”
“I love flowers but he (the florist) definitely did a good job creating what I wanted.” All of the flowers, from the bouquets to the table centerpieces and the flowers on the cake, were stunning!
What a fun bridal party! We (the photographers) had a blast getting to know and photographing them. They sure made the day exciting 😂
They even had Janice’s dream car, a classic Chevrolet in attendance!
Okay, but seriously, I love this couple so much!!! I mean, if the below pictures don’t show the couple’s sense of humor …
Their initials were found in the zen garden!
“The theme of our wedding was ‘elegant tropical.’ We wanted to capture our heritage (Puerto Rican and Cuban) so we incorporated classic Bel Air and Latin music, with just hints of our culture as well.”
It’s official! They’re husband and wife!
Tropical elegance at its finest! Anthony and the Miami Wedding Company were able to bring Janice and Michael’s vision to life!
The cake stand was designed and executed by the bride herself. At night, the fairy lights twinkled and really brought life to the cake!
Making quite the entrance, setting the tone for the rest of the night!
It is so important to hire a great band or DJ. According to the bride and groom, “the DJ really captured our culture with the music and got everyone on the dance floor.”
How chic does Janice look in her bridal jumpsuite?
Michael, of course, had to have a little personal photo session 🤣
Janice and Michael wanted to share two tips for all you brides and grooms out there: “Try not to do too many DIY projects right before the wedding. And if you can afford it, definitely hire a wedding planner. It’ll make your life a lot easier.”
A big congratulations to the beautiful pair. Thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of your big celebration and cheers to forever! 🥂
