Nicki and Charlie’s Addison wedding in Boca Raton was elegant, and adorned with blush and sparkles! A perfect representation of the couple and their love. And according to them, “every moment was amazing!”
How they met: ‘We both work for the school district so everyone assumes we met through work, but we actually met online. We exchanged numbers right away and had our first date a couple of days later at Yardhouse in Mizner Park.”
Their top priorities when planning their wedding were “photography, videography, and catering. Photo and video were our most important because we wanted to remember the day forever. We also love food and knew that the food would really set the tone for the whole night.”
Nicki states, “I’m a really organized person. I LOVE event planning. I did the entire wedding on my own with no wedding planner! Online timelines were used to help keep me on track. I also had a binder to keep brochures, contracts, inspiration pictures, etc. all together. We chose the venue, then picked colors that I knew wouldn’t clash. The colors were inspiration for everything else.”
She “found a lot of ideas on Pinterest. The Pinterest boards were used so I could save my ideas. It also helped to do a lot of crafting myself so that I could make an invite board, a place card board, a centerpiece board, a guest book board, etc. exactly how I pictured them!”
Nicki and Charlie got ready at an air bnb in Delray Beach before heading over to celebrate their Addison wedding in Boca Raton.
Charlie says, “every moment was amazing, but the first look stuck out because it was raining. I had to hold the umbrella, and it felt very crazy and chaotic until I got to see Nicki. It was a really emotional moment.”
“The Addison is absolutely stunning and the food there is the absolute best. It’s also walking distance to where we first met which made it feel so special. We even got to drive past where we had our first date as we were heading to the wedding!”
The bride is “super crafty and made almost everything for the decorations that didn’t come from the florist – the programs, place cards, all the signs, even my veil!”
Nicki remembers “standing inside with my mom as my bridesmaids walked down the aisle. The doors closed and I heard Charlie’s piano song start playing. I almost lost it right there. It all felt so insanely overwhelming. Right then, I remember turning to one of the staff and saying ‘Is this happening? Is this really it?’ Once those doors opened and I saw Charlie … it was the best moment of my life.”
“Charlie is an amazing pianist, so I surprised Charlie by walking down the aisle to a song he wrote and recorded for me when we first started dating.”
