For three consecutive weeks, it had been raining here in South Florida. Daily rain, with dark clouds, no sun. So when Sabrina and Derek told me they were coming from Texas and wanted a photo session, all I could do was pray. Pray that somehow, magically, the rain would pause and we’d get a chance to do our sunrise session. Not only for my sake, but for the sake of this couple who were coming from out of state. Not only did the sun peek out, but it also gave us beautiful sky colors!!! We had a gorgeous sunrise engagement session at Hillsboro Inlet, and I am in love with the images!
High School sweethearts, these two have been together for eight years. Now married for two years, Sabrina and Derek take a trip every year to celebrate their anniversary. This year, they decided to board a cruise ship out of Fort Lauderdale and head to the Caribbean. But not before doing a romantic session on land!
Little did I know, Sabrina and Derek had just gotten into town the day of session … at 2 AM. Our session started at 6:20 AM. Meaning, they didn’t get any sleep.
But I never would have known! They arrived early, in great spirits, and such a beautiful and sweet couple. Not to mention, so in love. I had to do very little posing since they were so natural and good together.
Those cotton candy clouds are everything 😍Even though the sun was up, the moon hadn’t quite disappeared yet. It was cool to be able to capture it in some of Sabrina and Derek’s shots.
