Celebrating 10 years of love at Morikami in Delray Beach with two of the most fantastic people I know.
I met Andrea about two years ago. Since then, we’ve been a team, not only having photographed weddings together, but also starting life in Florida. Both of us had just moved down here in 2016 when we met and were foreigners in our new home state. And we were both restarting our photography businesses in a new area. Anyone who has ever owned a business knows just how difficult this is. It’s not a fun task but what a difference it makes going through it with someone who understands what you’re going through. We were and are each other’s support, cheerleaders, and shoulders to whine on.
Through our friendship, I met Al, coolest guy ever and Andrea‘s husband. He, like his wife, is super witty, level-headed, and intelligent. These two have the biggest hearts, welcoming personalities, and are so down to earth. And you’d never guess that they’ve been married for ten years! They’re so in love now that I cannot even imagine what their ‘honeymoon’ phase was like!
Like myself, Andrea is not a fan of being in front of the camera, and neither is her husband (nor mine). You’d never know as they are super photogenic. It took some persuading to get Al to agree to this session. Luckily, it was their 10-year anniversary so Andrea had that working in her favor!
And they like their privacy so PDA (public display of affection) is a no-no. That being said, there were a few surprises in store for Andrea during our session (No hints. You’ll have to scroll down and see for yourself).
Not a fan of being in front of the camera? Psh. Whatever. Look at them! I wish I was as good in front of the camera as these two! The whole session felt so natural, and I loved how their love just shone in every image!
Being a fellow creative entrepreneur, we also made sure to take time out to update Andrea‘s headshots!Isn’t she gorgeous?! And those shoes are 😍What I didn’t know is Al is a fabulous dancer and has experience. So, of course, I asked to see his moves!I don’t think Andrea was quite expecting those moves! One of my favorite shots (how romantic!):They are so picture-perfect.A little something that’s special for this couple. When they’re home together and cooking dinner, they’ll take time out to dance. And by dance, I mean, Al dances while Andrea stands on his feet …You know how I mentioned that they’re private people and not a fan of PDA? Well, this is Andrea’s reaction to Al surprising her with a kiss (in public!)!
Celebrating an anniversary, engagement, birthday, or just life?! I’d love to celebrate with you: Sweet Memories Photography
